Christy, Linda, Naomi, and Cindy Close Vogue World 2023 in a Fashion Finale for the Ages

How to cap off a kaleidoscopic production encompassing everything from a Stormzy-led Shakespeare tribute to the world premiere of Wayne McGregor’s Herrera Codes, British legends moonlighting as Drury Lane ushers to Annie Lennox performing “Sweet Dreams” backed by the London Community Gospel Choir? With a victory lap from the supermodels, of course.

Having starred on the covers of both American and British Vogue’s September 2023 issues, Christy Turlington Burns, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, and Cindy Crawford dazzled on the Drury Lane stage in Vogue World: London’s finale—quite literally. British Vogue contributing editor Jack Borkett exclusively sourced shimmering metallic looks for the stars of Apple TV+’s forthcoming The Super Models. “Every element of the fashion in Vogue World: London not only had to work on stage at Drury Lane, but also on the livestream,” he notes. “These dresses are mesmerizing in person, but also virtually.”

Christy’s look came courtesy of Fendi’s fall 2023 couture offering, inspired by Delfina Delettrez’s high jewelry for the house. “[I incorporated it] in almost an organic way, with colors and embroideries based around the hues of natural stones, rubies, and sapphires,” Kim Jones told Vogue of the collection, which married ’90s minimalism with references to classical statuary. Also in a silver creation by a Rome-based house? Linda, resplendent in a custom sequined take on look 71 from Valentino’s fall 2023 runway.

Naomi, meanwhile, opted for a British designer—namely Alexander McQueen. Having opened Sarah Burton’s fall 2023 collection during Paris Fashion Week in a corseted jumpsuit, the quintessential London girl asked the house’s ateliers to recreate a ruby-red look in emerald green specifically for Vogue World: London.

As for Cindy? Donatella lent the model look 69 from her fall 2023 collection—because where there are supers, there should always be Versace.
