NAOMI CAMPBELL will be gracing the international catwalks for a few seasons yet.

In an interview with Reuters, the supermodel said that there were still too few chances for black models in the industry and, as such, she would not be retiring from the runway shows like some of her Eighties counterparts Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington.

At 38, Campbell has had a stellar career and still walks some of the most high profile designer shows. She told Reuters: "I'm very grateful for my career, but I worry for the girls after me for the opportunities they get - the way they get treated. And this is one of the reasons I still do what I do."

As the first black model to grace the covers of French and British Vogue, Campbell was only a teenager when she started and now pioneers further opportunities for models of colour, saying that she counts how many girls there are at the shows: "Now at Paris Haute Couture there was only one black girl out of all the shows. It cannot be a trend."
