- Learn about the history and mysteries of the Chachapoyas culture (800 A.D. – 1570 A.D.), in the northern jungle of Peru. This is the experience
- The tour begins with departure from the city of Chachapoyas at 8 am. Then we will travel to the parking lot of the Revash mausoleums where we will begin our walk and/or horseback ride for approximately one to two hours to reach these mausoleums which date back to the 13th century AD. After our visit to the mausoleums we go by car for another hour to get to the Leymebamba museum, where we will have lunch. We will visit the most important interpretation center of the Chachapoyas culture, in this museum we will be able to see more than 219 mummies in perfect condition and more than 2,500 artifacts including ceramics, textiles, wood carvings, quipus (Inca accounting system), among others. The tour ends with the return to the door of your hotel at approximately 6 p.m.

Itinerary
- Learn about the mysterious history of the Chachapoyas, a civilization that inhabited the northern jungle of Peru between the years 800 AD. – 1570 AD
- The tour begins with the pick-up of the visitor from the door of their hotel in the city of Chachapoyas (2,483 meters above sea level). Pick up is at approximately 8 in the morning. It is recommended that visitors be ready at the time of pick-up.
- The trip will be almost 3 hours to the town of San Bartolo. There, we will stop to get ready for the walk. We can also provide ourselves with snacks and rehydration for the adventure.
- The walk will be in the company of a professional tour guide. The route takes between 1 to 2 hours depending on the physical condition of the visitor. The route will be along beautiful roads surrounded by green mountain landscapes.
- In the end we will arrive at a viewpoint close to the Revash mausoleum (at a distance of between 4 to 5 meters). As their name indicates, these mausoleums were made by the Chachapoyas as replicas of their homes for the rest of their main inhabitants.
- The Revash mausoleum stands out for its figures of houses painted in red and cream near imposing cliffs. They were made in the same rock belonging to a natural cavern.
- After visiting Revash we will leave on our way back. The section is easier as it is mainly downhill. Once on board the tourist transport, we will travel 38 kilometers to the town of Leymebamba to visit one of the most important museums in Peru.
- In the town of Leymebamba we will have time to have lunch at a local tourist restaurant. Then we will visit the museum.
- The Leymebamba museum is a large interpretation center that exhibits objects from the Chachapoyas culture. It highlights its 219 mummies in excellent condition. In addition, the museum has 2,500 objects including ceramics, textiles, wooden objects, stone and more. The museum includes the largest collection of quipus (Inca rope system) in the world.
- After visiting the Leymebamba museum, we will board the tourist transportation to make the return trip to Chachapoyas. The tour ends with the visitor returning to the door of their hotel at approximately 6 p.m.
