Michael Douglas' ex Diandra loses second bid to get her hands on his Wall Street 2 earnings

Michael Douglas' ex-wife has failed in her second bid to get her hands on the actor's money.

Diandra Douglas claimed she was entitled to half of what the Hollywood star earned for his role in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.

She said that she should have got the cash under the pair's divorce settlement - even though the movie was made ten years after they split.

But a Manhattan judge yesterday rejected her request to overturn his original ruling last year.

Once again Justice Matthew Cooper said that Diandra's claims that their divorce settlement entitles her to the cash should be heard in a court in
California, where the couple split in 2000, the New York Post reports.

'We won,' said Michael Douglas' lawyer, Marilyn Chinitz.

But Diandra Douglas' attorney, Nancy Chemtob, has vowed to appeal again.

Back in April this year, Michael said his ex-wife 'should be ashamed of herself' after she made the second attempt to get a cut of his earnings.

The actor, who is now married to Catherine Zeta-Jones, disputed that she was entitled to any of his salary from the film, because it wasn't even in discussion stages when they split.

The first original lawsuit was filed just weeks before Michael was diagnosed with throat cancer, although Diandra later attended to have the court battle delayed while he received treatment.

However, Michael's lawyers wished to proceed and in November Judge Cooper threw it out.

They have one son, Cameron, who is currently in prison on drug charges.

She filed for divorce in 1997 and landed a $45 million USD settlement.
