Español: La iglesia central de Leymebamba o Templo de Leymebamba fue construida en el año 1875, ubicada en la esquina de la plaza de armar del distrito, sus paredes son de piedra de 1.1 metros de ancho y el techo es de teja, la altura de las parees es de 6 metros; para su construcción se trajeron piedras traídas del cerro San Cristóbal, que según relatan los locales fueron de antiguas ruinas de la cultura Chachapoya; La construcción de la iglesia se terminó en 1905.
La iglesia posee dos torres, en una de ellas cuelgan dos campanas, con estas campanas se anuncia al pueblo que una persona a muerto, si es mujer se da dos golpes y al mismo tiempo con las dos campanas; o conocido también como “el doble de las campanas”. Si era varón, entonces se daban tres dobles, y seguía el tañido con el repique. El Templo matriz de Leymebamba, está Declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación, mediante RDN N° 1141/ INC -2002. El Ministerio de Comercio Exterior y Turismo a través del Plan COPESCO, en el año 2007 y 2008 ejecutó proyectos para la conservación y acondicionamiento de Leymebamba.
