President Garcia inspected construction of Callao’s “Luis Negreiros" hospital

Peruvian President Alan Garcia on Monday inspected the construction of the new Callao’s Social Security Health System (EsSalud) hospital “Luis Negreiros,” which has required a 60-million-sol investment.

After carrying out a series of activities in Moyobamba, San Martin region, President Garcia checked the rapid progress of the works of that hospital, together with the EsSalud’s head Fernando Barrios.

The new hospital, which will be opened shortly, will benefit over 103,000 insurance holders and will double the number of medical attention from 150,000 to 300,000.

The medical center occupies an area of 17,295 square meters and the constructed area is 12,687 square meters.

The hospital will provide services ranging from routine examinations to surgical operations, because it will have a modern Intensive Care Unit for adults and newborns.
