Diese Ungleichmäßigkeit der Drehgeschwindigkeit des Windrades wird zum Teil dadurch verursacht, daß bei heftigen, kurz aufeinanderfolgenden Windstößen die Steuerfahne, welche durch Federkraft nach hinten gezogen wird, plötzlich durch einen Windstoß geschwenkt wird und kurz darauf, wenn der Windstoß vorüber ist, wieder vollständig nach hinten gezogen wird und somit das Windrad fast vollständig in die Windrichtung schwenkt.
