Have tried to delete the gadget and add it again; use another similar gadget; nothing seems to work~

I'd love someone to tell me how to work these gadgets for google docs. There's a few of them and I've tried them all. Upon going back into the igoogle homepage it asks you to sign in... clicking the 'sign in' does nothing. Every time. Without fail.
